Spring 2022 News

Welcome to a late update on news from Classicfabs.

The last couple of years has been difficult for all of us and here at Classicfabs we have had our share of issues being caused by the pandemic, but minor compared with lots of other people. Our wish to all our customers and their families and friends is that they stay safe.

Following almost two years of no Jaguar events to go to we were all grateful to Philip Porter and his team at the E-Type magazine for organising a great event for E-Type 60 at Shelsley Walsh in the summer of 2021.

Jimmy also had the bonus of driving a customers D Type up the hill. We had just completed an exhaust system build on the car the previous week.

Projects:

Over the last eighteen months we have been developing our systems to be fitted with Classic Car Catalytic converters. All the details and test results you will find on all sections of our web site.

These Catalytic Converters we see as the way forward for Classic Cars in the future.

More and more of our customers are seeing the benefit of these components along with non-visual effect they have on emissions.

They are available as options on all our Jaguar systems and as ‘made up’ assemblies for various classic cars. Contact us for details.

Some new designs that we have been working on include:

A) A re-engineered design of the SSI manifold for Porsche 911s which include our Catalytic Converters.

B) A new design of Long Manifold for the Aston Martin DB5 / 6 along with a new design of exhaust system fitted with our Catalytic Converters. We will also have the same exhaust system but compatible with standard Cast Manifolds.

C) A new design of complete exhaust system for the Jaguar XJ6 in big bore to fit to our Long XJ6 manifold and includes our own design of silencers for a more improved sound performance for those with performance engines.

D) For our Formula Ford 2000 race car, a new Long Manifold design to include our Catalytic Converter.

The car will be on display and being driven by Jimmy at various Historic Racing events throughout 2022.

E) Our own design of manifold for Jaguar C Types with options on style of silencers and with the option of fitting our Catalytic Converters. (Photo coming).

F) Classicfabs now have a new design of silencer for our four pipe Series 3 V12 E-Type that included four small Catalytic Converters fitted internally in the silencer. These silencers with CATs are also a direct replacement for any of our current systems that customers have.

The Jaguar D Type that Jimmy had the pleasure of driving up the hill at Shelsley Walsh during E-Type 60, fitted with our new exhaust and our Catalytic Converters. Thanks to Art Foley in the U.S.

All the best from Jimmy, Rhona, and the team at Classicfabs and thank you for your continued support.
